Electrical/Lighting Plan

Scope of work:

This phase includes production of sample boards (furniture and fabric boards), sketches and plans suitable to convey the design intent. This phase will include taking a brief from the client and budget costing spreadsheets for the proposed scheme.

Fees:

An initial fee is charged for this stage based on the scale of the project and the client’s requirements. This is based on the number of days estimated to carry out the work.

  Stage 2.
Building

Scope of work:

This phase includes finalised plans (furniture, lighting and electrical, ceiling, floor finishes, etc), elevations, specification documents, schedules, site co-ordination and visits, tender and final costing spreadsheets, as required. We also produce a programme of works for the entire job.

Fees: Fees for this stage are based upon a percentage of all costs excluding the furnishings supply. Typically this is charged at 17.5% but will vary according to the size of the job, charged in four separate payments across the duration of the project.

Stage 3.
Furnishing

Scope of Work: This phase includes detailed spreadsheets for all furnishings supplied by Charles Bateson Design Consultants. This is presented in a fully broken down and transparent format. On approval, we produce all specification documents, drawings and orders and then track and programme the entire package through to completion date.

Fees: All mark-ups are on a cost (trade / lowest price) basis with agreed set mark-ups, available on request. We operate an ‘open book policy’, and all clients’ money for furnishings is placed in a dedicated job bank account to be drawn on as necessary. The client is free to see all invoices and bank statements at any time during the course of the job. All monies for this element of the job are payable to CBDC in advance of orders being placed.

  Other Work

Any work carried out at the request of the client, that falls outside the above areas, will be charged at hourly rates. These can be supplied on request.
