Sometimes I can’t believe my luck. I started out in the interior design business working for two of the most talented interior designers the UK has produced - David Hicks and John Stefanidis. Since launching my own design consultancy 15 years ago my team and I have had the good fortune to work on some truly exceptional properties for clients whose vision and ambition were a constant source of inspiration.

In fact I believe that the recognition I have received over the years in the interior design press is a testament to the creative partnerships I have forged with my clients. So I see my inclusion in the House and Garden Magazine ‘Top 100 Interior Designers’ as being an award for both me and my clients. Over the years, we have also been featured in ‘ES Magazine’ ‘Homes and Gardens’ & ‘Architectural Digest’.

Any client places an enormous amount of trust in their designer. My team and I always treat this trust with the utmost respect. Over the years we have built up in house skills that ensure that we can handle all aspects of any job, from working with manufacturers and artisans to specialists in all fields of design and manufacture. The word ‘bespoke’ is bandied about all too often, but as we regularly design half of all the loose furniture on a job (and near to 100% of fitted ) I believe that we can truly lay claim to offering a tailored, personal solution to every project.

What’s more, I strongly believe that any client who is investing money, time, effort and their dreams in a project has the right to enjoy the process. We always do everything in our power to achieve and maintain this principle. Because of this we have had a very high number of clients who have retained our services over several projects and many years.

In terms of out design philosophy we are generally known for including the best of classic, traditional and contemporary looks. In reality, the final look and feel of a project is, of course, dictated by the client, the building and the location. I hope that our pictures show that we do not sign up the ‘Cookie cutter’ school of design where every project looks pretty much the same regardless of who the job is for and what the building is like.

We have designed traditional country houses and city homes in the United Kingdom where we are based as well as around the world in cities such as Cairo, Geneva and Hong Kong. No project is too big, too small or too unusual to benefit from our expertise.

Finally, I just want to recount a phone call that I received from a client on the evening that we finished his house. He'd not been on site for two weeks. “Charles,” he said “I am walking around my new home and I just can’t believe what you have achieved. I feel so lucky and can’t wait to live in the wonderful space you have made for me. Two weeks is certainly a long time in interior design!”
